faces III

I’m not gonna beat around the bush (although it is a favourite naughty pastime of mine), I’m a sucker for a pretty face. My lover’s visage is as beautiful as the Mediterranean sun that beats down upon my brow and glistens on her warm lagoon-wet skin, but I’ve already posted a pic of her, so I’m going to indulge in other women today.
Yes, no men allowed. As handsome as so many are, this post in the faces series is strictly for the ladies, the women, the feminine contours of the female face. The high cheekbones, the luscious lips, the alluring eyes, the sleek arch of the eyebrow, the smooth aquiline nose, the subtle curvature of the ear, the sumptuous nape of the neck; all these attribute to the beauty that is the face of a beautiful woman.
Here I have chosen singers, actors and models. Some are barely out of their teens, while others may be by now fully entrenched in middle age, but have grown old the grace of a rose. I’ve used a pic from their prime.
Some images have been heavily treated, but still capture the essence of the woman’s facial allure. So here they are in all their (mostly) symmetrical glory.
Not too shabby were they? Favourites would be Kate Beckinsale's cum hither sideways glance, Rihanna and Cassie's exotic, mesmerizing eyes, Monica Bellucci and Isabelle Adjani's timelessness ... and although I don't normally go for blondes, Elisha Cuthbert's soft features are quite sensational. I suppose I'll need to do a men's gallery when I come back to the faces series, to keep the ladies happy.

Although I think she has been made very 'Hollywood" I do think Kate Beckinsale is a spectacular looking woman. It's hard to reconcile the sex bomb Kate with the fresh-faced Kate from Shooting Fish.

Yes, I have a deep-rooted crush on Mrs (sigh) Beckinsale. Of course, the younger version had no effect on me. I remember seeing her in Much Ado About Nothing and I barely bated an eyelid ... then I saw her in Laurel Canyon, all those years later and my Levis 505s popped a button! Ahem! As for her latex outfit in Underworld, mmmmmmmm (shame about the movies) .Yes, she has blossomed into a most spectacular looking woman indeed, apparently she doesn't rate herself as especially stunning ... go figure.

I think she is stunner. she was always pretty but is now a fully fledged siren of the old school order.

Yes, certainly a siren of the old school order indeed, think Hayworth and Turner. I actually love her acting style too.

Although I have to say I couldn't even rate near one of these beauties I think I found myself far more attractive when I hit my thirties and up than I ever was in my twenties. I think your face becomes more defined and the little lines that so many of the photographers are always airbrushing out actually give a face character and depth.
But then again it might just be that the older I get the more comfortable I am in my own skin and I'm not so critical of myself. Hitting forty for me was a delicious moment that I reveled in. I don't know why so many people worry about it. I can, with hair and makeup done, hold my own relatively well
